Erasmus+ visit at the University of Lisbon

On 23-26 May 2023, lecturer Rima Adomaitienė went to the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Lisbon. The aim of the Erasmus+ visit was to get acquainted with the oral hygiene study programme at the University of Lisbon and to strengthen cooperation with colleagues from Portugal.  Lisbon University offers not only bachelor’s studies, but also master’s and doctoral programmes in oral hygiene. As a result, it has a large number of students studying oral hygiene.
During the visit, lecturer Rima Adomaitienė gave lectures to first-year students and participated in practical sessions with second- and third-year oral hygiene students in a nursing home and a dental clinic. Dr Sandra Ribeiro Graca and Dr Teresa Albuquerque, professors at the University of Lisbon, were kind enough to share their experience in evaluating the students’ activities, and to introduce the Faculty’s practice facilities.
It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to meet the oral hygiene students during the week of the visit, to share experiences and observe their practical activities, and to interact with colleagues.
Lisbon is a wonderful tourist centre, and the Erasmus+ travel opportunities were used to visit some of the city’s most famous sites.
