REPRESENTATIVES OF PANEVĖŽYS UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES VISITED TURKEY
Director of Panevėžys University of Applied Sciences dr. Gediminas Sargūnas, deputy director for studies dr. Jurgita Lieponienė, head of international relations, marketing and projects department Laima Mikalajūnienė and international relations coordinator Jovita Kaziukonytė 14-17 of November visited Inonu University, Turkiye, Malatya. Around 40,000 students study in the university campus, which is surrounded by mountains on all sides. Ümit Yakar, an English language lecturer at Inonu University and Panevėžys University of Applied Sciences, prepared a rich program for the employees, during which many business meetings were held. Representatives of the Panevėžys University of Applied Sciences met with the rector of the university, prof. Ahmet Kizilay, shared information about study programs, exchange opportunities for students and employees, preparation of joint projects. During the visit, an institutional memorandum was signed, strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions. Meetings were held with representatives of the international relations department, lecturers of the faculties, the library, laboratories, practical training bases were visited. International relations coordinator Jovita Kaziukonytė together with former Panevėžys University of Applied Sciences Erasmus+ student Ahmet Çatal presented the institution and Erasmus+ opportunities to Inonu University students. New cooperation contacts were established with Turgut Ozal University located in Malatya. A new Erasmus+ cooperation agreement was signed during the meeting of university representatives.
