Team of lecturers visited Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University in Turkey

On 23-26 October 2023, a team of lecturers from the College – Rasa Glinskienė, Ingrida Kupčiūnaitė, Dalia Urbonienė, Arūnas Tautkus, Remigijus Kaliasas – visited Canakkale Onsekiz Mart University in Turkey as part of the ERASMUS+ programme.

Canakkale is a city of almost 700 000 inhabitants, and the university hosts almost 50 000 students from the whole Istanbul region. The number of faculties alone is impressive, with 21 faculties. In addition to lectures, the lecturers also visited the institute’s infrastructure, the international relations department and the library. The university library is one of the most impressive in Turkey: 8,000 square metres, a 1,000-seat reading room, and over a million publications.

In their free time, the lecturers explored Turkey’s rich history, the ruins of the ancient city of Troy and the multicultural city of Istanbul.
