Forum “Horizon Europe: What is next?”
The project manager, Kara Lina Guokė, participated in the Horizon Europe annual forum “Horizon Europe: What is next?” More than 150 representatives of science, business and education gathered at this forum to discuss how to prepare best for the new EU research and innovation program starting in 2028.
During the event, the statistics of Lithuania’s participation in Horizon Europe were shared and discussed. During the year, the number of applicants increased by 62 percent. and reached 1942 this year. The number of projects compared to last year increased by 89 percent. and in 2024 391 projects were financed, with a total value of 150 million euros.
During the event, Lithuanian scientists shared their stories of the beginnings of the internationalization of research, Lithuania’s position regarding the 2028-2034 10th EU General Research and Innovation Program and EU policy trends were discussed in great detail and Kara Lina Guokė had the opportunity to present Panevėžio kolegija/ State Higher Education Institution to all participants during the pitch event.
