The European Union aims to be climate-neutral by 2050. Scaling up renewable energy is critical to achieving zero emissions and reaching the set milestone of 42.5 percent share of renewable energy of total EU consumption by 2030.To contribute to EU and Lithuania goals in the field of renewable energy, Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution proactively participates in international +Erasmus projects (POWERUPMYHOUSE and GREEN TECH) and to strengthen students’ knowledge and skills in renewable energy and solar energy in particular and help them acquire competencies necessary for the next generation of engineers, invited Dr. Ivan Patricio Acosta Pazmino, a promising and recognized researcher and solar engineer .who conducts research in the field of renewable energy at Hogskolan Gavle, Technologico de Monterrey and Imperial College London
This visit helped the students to gain international experience as well as to learn more about the work of researcher and get acquainted with renewable energy projects in th leading EU countries.
During the meetings-discussions with the program committee of electrical and automation devices, electromechanics and construction engineering study programs and the Applied Research and Innovation Center, dr. Ivan Patricio Acosta Pazmino shared professional knowledge, global trends, good experiences from various countries and discussed opportunities for cooperation in project R&D activities.
