Enhancing Partnership with the University of Foggia in Italy

From May 6 to 9, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Associate Professor Rasa Glinskienė, and Lecturer Dalia Urbonienė, as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Technology Sciences, Associate Professor Arūnas Tautkus, visited the University of Foggia in Italy under the Erasmus+ program. The visit was very informative – although we arrived during the exam period, when students were busy preparing for their exams, and the university was also holding a graduation ceremony on that day, the coordinator who welcomed us made sure we had enough time.

We visited the Faculties of Economics and Social Sciences, which are located in truly unusual places – former 19th-century stables and 20th-century sports club premises. During the meeting with the dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, we were introduced to Panevėžys College, its areas of activity, and possible directions for cooperation.

During the visit, we also noticed that the learning experiences of Italian students differ slightly from those of Lithuanian students – they take a lot of notes by hand, use technology less during lectures, and their English language skills are slightly weaker than those of Lithuanian students.

The visit went smoothly and was very enjoyable – we are delighted with this experience!
