Panevėžys University of Applied Sciences is a state higher education institution, focused on high-quality higher education studies and practical activities. In 2022 Panevėžys University of Applied Sciences celebrates its 20th anniversary.

University is purposefully focused on meeting the needs of the labour market in the Panevėžys region, which is why the quality of interns is highly valued. Relations with employers are close and long-term – more than 250 cooperation agreements, which not only open opportunities for students to do internships, but also for teachers to go on professional internships. There is a directional trend that most students get a job in the companies where they did their internship.

A wide choice of study programs

Panevėžys University of Applied sciences has a great experience in training specialists in the field of biomedicine, social and technological sciences, who later find successful employment both in Lithuania and abroad.

The Faculty of Technology Sciences offers such study programs as Development and Maintenance of Information Systems, Informatics Engineering, Computer Control Systems, Electric and Automatic Equipment, Electromechanics, Construction Engineering, Road Engineering, Development of Business Online Systems (short studies).

In the Faculty of Social Sciences, you can choose such study programs as Accounting, Business Management, Logistics, Law, Pedagogy of Pre-school Education.

The Faculty of Biomedicine Sciences offers the following study programs: General Practice Nursing, Dental Hygiene, Beauty Therapy, Physiotherapy, Emergency Medical Aid, Social Work, Odontological Care.

Study innovations and opportunities

Panevėžys University of Applied Sciences pays great attention to practical training. Therefore, the laboratories of physics, materials science, renewable energy sources, home management, and electrical equipment have been updated and modernized. An automation laboratory meeting Industry 4.0 standards has been installed with three industrial robots from different manufacturers and image recognition systems. The Information Technology and Innovation Center will open its doors from September.

The short studies starting in Lithuania are an alternative way to pursue higher education and acquire relevant competences in the labour market in a shorter time. This academic year, Panevėžys University of Applied Sciences invites you to choose the short study program Development of Business Online Systems and in two years to acquire the professional qualification of a programmer, which is particularly in demand on the labour market.

The Academic Council of Panevėžys University of Applied Sciences has reduced the standard tuition fees for students entering the Emergency Medical Aid, Pedagogy of Pre-school Education and Electrical and Automation Equipment study programs.

Investing in the most in-demand specialties of the future, the company “Amber Grid”, which belongs to the group of energy companies “EPSO-G”, will pay monthly scholarships of 200 euros for three years to those who’ll enroll in the Electric and Automatic Equipment and Electromechanics study programs. This step aims to solve the issue of attracting specialists needed for the transformation of the Lithuanian energy sector.

University teachers and students are participants and organizers of various city and city-specific events, participants and winners of various student competitions not only at Panevėžys Uninversity of Apllied Sciences, but also in other Lithuanian higher education institutions. Students can realize their academic and research abilities by participating in the activities of the Student Scientific Society (SMD) and their managerial and organizational skills by participating in the activities of the Student Representative Office (PankoSA).
