The double degree studies at Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution

From June 13th to 15th, 2023, Jurgita Lieponienė, the deputy director for studies, Diana Micevičienė, an associate professor, and Česlovas Bartkus, a lecturer, participated in an international week at the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Representatives from universities in Poland, Finland, Sweden, Bulgaria, Chile, Brazil, and Turkey also took part in the international week. During the visit, representatives from Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution presented the study programmes, discussed about collaboration opportunities with representatives from other higher education institutions, get acquainted with the study and R&D facilities of Stralsund University of Applied Sciences.

One of the main objectives of the visit was to discuss about the possibilities of implementing a double degree in the International Business study programme. We are pleased to announce that starting from the upcoming academic year, students who choose the International Business study programme will have the opportunity to pursue not only a professional bachelor’s degree from Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution but also a diploma from the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences. The double degree studies will provide opportunities for students of Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution to experience different teaching methodologies, benefit from the best practices of several countries and higher education institutions and gain a competitive advantage in the labour market.
