the Hansa Parliament Events in Riga
Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution team participated in the events in Riga of the Hansa Parliament – a long-term partner from Germany: the annual General Assembly of members and a seminar on the areas of expected project activities and the international conference “Qualifications, entrepreneurship and innovation in the green economy”. The first day of the cycle of events started with working seminar sessions. The representatives of the four-year project ” Three-level centres of professional excellence: Qualification, entrepreneurship and innovation in the Green Economy (3LoE)” gathered to discuss the achieved results of the project, plan the remaining activities and prepare for the European Forum of Professional Excellence, which will be held next week in Lyon, France. Meanwhile, other members of the Hansa Parliament had the opportunity to participate in an interactive session about ongoing and planned future projects. The participants presented the current affairs of their organizations, actively discussed, shared ideas and looked for points of contact in the preparation of joint projects. The rest of the day was spent in the official part of the General Assembly, during which the annual report was heard, official procedures were held, and new members of the Hansa Parliament were introduced. The second day was devoted to the final conference of the project “Three-level centres of professional excellence: Qualification, entrepreneurship and innovation in the Green Economy (3Loe)”. The event took place in the premises of Riga Stradin University. The representatives of the project presented in detail the results achieved during the project, highlighting their importance not only for the project implementers, but also for the entire education system. The goal of the project was to create specific measures that would solve such problems as the lack of qualified employees, the absence of qualifications linked to the green economy, the lack of adaptation of the offered continuing education services to the real needs of companies, and the still insufficient cooperation of professional and higher education institutions with business companies. In order to overcome these challenges, during the project, 22 partners from 7 countries developed, practically tested and implemented measures aimed at raising the qualifications of company employees, promoting future-oriented innovations, improving the quality of training services, and preparing dual training and study programs. During the final conference, the successful results of the project in the fields of professional, continuing education and higher education were presented.
