Students expanded their knowledge of drone applications and innovations
Students at Panevėžio kolegija / State Higher Education Institution had a unique opportunity to deepen their knowledge of advanced modern technologies, including unmanned aerial vehicles, while developing competencies essential for the new generation of engineers, logisticians, and entrepreneurs. Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution welcomed Dr. Tomasz Balcerzak, an aviation and drone expert from the Polish University of Technology and Economics, who delivered a series of lectures on unmanned aerial systems.
During his visit, students of logistics, business management, and electronic engineering enhanced their understanding of technology-driven business model transformation, sustainable supply chains, drone applications, and data-driven decision-making. This experience also provided valuable international exposure, insights into scientific career paths, and practical knowledge on the use of drones in applied research, as well as examples of projects implemented in other countries.
In meetings with representatives of the Faculties of Technology and Social Sciences and the Center for Applied Research and Innovation, Dr. Balcerzak shared his professional expertise, highlighted global trends, and presented best practices from various countries. Discussions also explored opportunities for collaboration in applied scientific research and project-based R&D activities.
This guest lecture visit was funded by the Lithuanian Educational Exchange Support Fund.
