Our Delegation Visit to the Warsaw University of Technology and Economics
Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution representatives – International Relations Coordinator Jovita Kaziukonytė-Levanienė and Project Manager and Lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences Kara Lina Guokė – participated in an Erasmus+ mobility visit to the Warsaw University of Technology and Economics, Poland.
Kara Lina Guokė gave lectures to students about the Lithuanian cybersecurity strategy, growth trends in this sector and the global cybersecurity index.
During the visit, an international scientific and practical conference “The Multidimensionality of Cybersecurity: New Dimensions of Digital Crime – Law, Technology, Society” was held in parallel, bringing together representatives of the academic community, public sector and business from various countries. The conference examined relevant issues of digital crimes, technological solutions and legal regulation, revealing the multifaceted nature of cybersecurity. Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution representatives actively participated in the conference activities. They also participated in discussions with international experts, shared good practices and deepened their professional knowledge. During the panel discussions, it was once again revealed that effective cybersecurity is impossible without close cooperation between science, business and the public sector. The experiences of different countries – Poland, the USA, India, Turkey and Lithuania – showed that cybersecurity must be perceived not as an additional function, but as an integral part of each organization’s strategy.
Participation in Erasmus+ mobility activities not only strengthens international relations, but also creates opportunities to exchange knowledge, improve competences and apply the most advanced practices in the study process. Such experiences contribute to improving the quality of studies and strengthen the internationality of the institution.
