Erasmus+ staff visit to Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution: international experience and strengthening of cooperation

Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution hosted an international Erasmus+ staff mobility visit, bringing together members of the academic community from Latvian higher education institutions. During the visit, the guests participated in training, shared professional experience and strengthened inter-institutional cooperation.

Representatives from Daugavpils University: Anita Kiričuka, Jolanta Semjonova, Matīss Ruskulis and Andrejs Zaičenko arrived at  Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution. All of them participated in staff training activities, which were focused on improving the quality of studies, applying innovative teaching methods and developing internationality. Andrejs Zaičenko, representing the field of preschool education, also conducted teaching sessions for BIP program students, where he shared his professional experience and insights on the topic “Types and perspectives of education in the EU and India”.

Karlis Valtins from the University of Latvia also participated in the visit, the researcher actively participated in training activities, discussions and strengthening of academic ties.

Ieva Bolakova,  lecturer in the field of Information Technologies at Daugavpils University, as well as the Director of the Bachelor’s Study Program in Information Technologies.

The visit program was diverse and included lectures, discussions and meetings with the institution administration and teachers. The guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with the study programs, infrastructure and applied teaching methods of Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution . The possibilities of joint projects, the development of student and staff exchanges were also discussed.

This Erasmus+ visit not only contributed to the improvement of professional competencies but also strengthened international relations between Lithuanian and Latvian higher education institutions. Such initiatives promote the exchange of knowledge, cultural understanding and the pursuit of common academic goals.  Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution continues to actively participate in international programs, aiming to ensure high quality of studies and create the widest possible opportunities for both students and staff to improve in the global academic space.
