Erasmus+ in Portugal: Experiences That Inspire Growth

The Erasmus+ programme is more than an opportunity for international mobility. It helps participants gain new ideas, exchange good practices, and strengthen international cooperation. These experiences benefit both students and staff at Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution.

At the end of the academic year, representatives of PANKO visited the Polytechnic University of Santarém in Portugal. The delegation included Viktorija Vidžiūnienė, Lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Head of Marketing Projects, Laima Mikalajūnienė, Head of the International Relations, Marketing and Projects Departament, and Vesta Juškienė, Specialist of State Asset Management and Public Procurement Service.

The Polytechnic University of Santarém is a public higher education institution with around 5,000 students. About 100 of them are international students, most of whom come from former Portuguese-speaking countries. All study programmes are taught in Portuguese, and the institution also offers two doctoral programmes.

During the visit, the PANKO representatives learned about the university’s study organisation, marketing activities, and project management practices, while exchanging ideas with their Portuguese colleagues.

International visits like this encourage professional development, inspire new ideas, and strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions.
