From 19 to 24 October 2026, a team from Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution participated in the “Conflict Management for School Staff” training course organised by Europass Teacher Academy in Seville, Spain. This international collaboration not only provided valuable professional knowledge and skills but also offered an excellent opportunity to introduce Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution and the city of Panevėžys to international colleagues.
Key Highlights of the Training:
- Conflict Management: The team explored the underlying causes of conflicts, reflected on their own emotions, and learned to identify different behavioural patterns, including internal saboteurs.
- Practical Skills: The training sessions focused on developing active listening, empathy, nonviolent communication, and mediation skills to foster a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Exchange of Experience: One of the most valuable aspects was the opportunity to exchange experiences with educators and administrative staff from different countries, discuss common challenges, and discover new approaches applicable to everyday professional practice.
- Promoting the College and the City: The team presented the study programmes offered by Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution and introduced Panevėžys as a modern, revitalised, vibrant, and culturally rich city.
- Cultural Experience: The six-day visit to Seville also provided an opportunity to explore the city’s rich history, impressive architecture, and unique cultural heritage.
The knowledge, experience, and inspiration gained during the training will be put into practice to strengthen the Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution community.
