International Projects

NORDPLUS

The Nordplus program (NordPlus Framework Program) is aimed at educational institutions from the Baltic States (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia), the Nordic countries (Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland) and the autonomous Nordic countries (Greenland, the Faroe Islands and the Åland Islands).

The main goals of the program are to improve the quality of education and science and to implement innovations. The program also seeks to promote long-term cooperation between educational institutions, emphasizing the exchange of experience, good practice and the importance of the results achieved. The main activity categories are related to mobility, project and networking activities.

ONGOING PROJECTS

ERASMUS PROGRAM INNOVATION PROJECT “DEVELOPMENT OF INTERACTIVE AND ANIMATED DRAWING TEACHING TOOLS” (DIAD-TOOLS)

The project “Development of Interactive and Animated Drawing Teaching Tolls” is being implemented at Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution under the Erasmus Strategic Partnership Innovation Project KA2.
The main goal of the project is to develop interactive and animated drawing teaching aids (computer version) that would facilitate / help students of vocational schools, colleges and universities to better learn (master) drawing teaching materials. Working with this interactive teaching material will help students in vocational schools and high schools to memorize the information and put it into practice. The interactive and animated teaching material for drawing would be prepared according to the teaching thematic plans (chapters) and would provide an opportunity to learn to draw by hand and by computer (AutoCAD program).

INTERCULTURAL EXCHANGE

Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution participates as a partner in the joint German-French project “Intercultural Exchange”. The target group of this project is students studying the nursing study program. During the project, students strengthen intercultural competencies and get acquainted with nursing systems in other countries.
The main goal of the project is to gain new experience in improving a foreign language, to get acquainted with the activities and peculiarities of nursing professionals in health care institutions in France, Germany and Lithuania, and to train nursing professionals during internship mobility visits.
The project coordinator is the Europe-Direct Center in Dresden (Germany).
Participants of Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution in this project: Biomedicine Science Faculty.

COST ACTIVITIES

From 2020 March Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution has joined the COST Activity CA17124 Digital Forensics: Analysis of Evidence Using Intelligent Systems and is the official representative of Lithuania in this research group uniting 35 countries.
The main goal of the activity is to use the existing potential of science in the fields of mathematics, artificial intelligence and automated logic in digital forensics.
The aim is to create a research infrastructure that enables the application of artificial intelligence and other methods for the automated analysis of evidence. Particular emphasis is placed on the evidence analysis phase, in which evidence of a crime and suspects and possible alternative cause-and-effect scenarios are collected and analyzed from a variety of devices using specialized hardware and software in accordance with established rules.
The activity will be attended by assoc. prof. dr. V. Giedrimas, assoc. prof. dr. J. Lieponienė, Deputy Director for Science and Development dr. D. Bakšys, assoc. prof. dr. E. Sapeliauskas and members of the research group of the Technological Sciences Faculty in the field of Informatics.
COST activities will run until 2022. September.
