Code of Ethics
The College is guided by the principles of our values, business conduct, adheres to universally recognized norms of ethical conduct and seeks to recognize, uphold and foster justice, fairness, respect for human beings, tolerance, professional, scientific, civic and social responsibility, truth-seeking and academic freedom, building democratic an atmosphere of confidence and creativity in the College. Adherence to these principles and provisions is enshrined in the Code of Ethics.
Code of Academic Ethics
In its academic activities, the College adheres to universally recognized values that ensure the transparency, fairness, justice, equality, non-discrimination, responsibility, sustainable use of resources, academic freedom, impartiality, trust, respect and protection of intellectual property in the research and study process. Adherence to these values and attitudes is enshrined in the Code of Academic Ethics.
Disputes are resolved by the Ethics Commission of Panevėžys College or the Office of the Ombudsman for Academic Ethics and Procedures of the Republic of Lithuania.
Students are also interested in honest studies. There is a clause in the study contract where the student undertakes to study in good faith. The College’s study regulations provide for cases to deal with if a student has been dishonest at the time of reporting. The College strives to react quickly to changes, publicizes and acquaints the entire academic community of the College with the guidelines prepared by the Office of the Ombudsman for Academic Ethics and Procedures of the Republic of Lithuania, aimed at ensuring fairer and higher quality studies.
The description of the procedure for the prevention of plagiarism in the preparation of study papers by the College regulates the procedures for checking the coincidence of study papers and establishing plagiarism, considering violations of academic ethics and imposing sanctions.
Ethics commission
The Code of Ethics of Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution enshrines the value principles, business conduct provisions of Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution’s lecturers, researchers, management and other employees, as well as students and listeners, regulates the most important cases of avoidable conduct not directly established by the legislation of the Republic of Lithuania, employment contracts and internal documents.
