Information Technology Center

Center functions:

Ensure unified IT management in Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution;
Ensure the functioning of Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution’s information systems and implement the security policy;
To organize technical support for computerized information service o Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution’s lecturers and other employees;
Ensure that Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution uses computer data processing and electronic means of communication in local and global networks;
To submit proposals according to the competencies to the management of Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution regarding the improvement of information technologies and to organize the implementation of the submitted proposals;
Perform technical administration and application functions for work and server maintenance;
To organize the development of technical and software tools of the Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution’s information systems;
Organize orders and installation of new application software packages;
To plan and initiate public procurements related to the development of information technologies, to prepare technical specifications for these procurements;
Advise the staff of Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution on the use of computers, in accordance with the available resources and opportunities to raise the level of computer literacy of the staff of Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution;
Protect the confidential information of Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution;
To represent Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution in other institutions, establishments and organizations according to its competence;
To perform other functions established by legal acts and assignments of Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution’s management within the limits of the competencies assigned to the Center;
Participate in the projects of updating and improving the Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution’s quality management system, contribute to their implementation;
To provide information to Panevėžio kolegija/State Higher Education Institution’s community and the public about the Centre’s activities and results.
