Representatives of Panevėžys University of Applied Sciences participated in a staff training event at Gavle University
9-13 of May International Relations Coordinator Jovita Kaziukonytė and Remigijus Kaliasas, Lecturer at the Faculty of Technology, participated in the international Erasmus+ program project no. 2020-1-TR01-KA202-093467 “POWERUP MYHOUSE: development of innovative learning and practice modules to increase the usage of renewable energies for sustainable buildings” at a short joint employee training event in University of Gavle, Sweden. Lectures were attended during the training were presented the impact of renewable energy on the Swedish electricity system, highlighting the importance of using new technologies such as PVT (photovoltaic-thermal collectors) in the renewable energy market.
Swedish scientists presented their research projects and work on CPVT (concentrated photovoltaic-thermal collectors) – modeling, construction, testing. The scientific university’s laboratories were visited, where the first prototypes of PVT were born. During the training, trips were organized to AB Absolicon Solar Collector, which produces concentrated solar collectors, and the Vattenfall laboratory, which is engaged in water, solar and wind research. The Vattenfall hydroelectric plant, Gavlė Sports Manege, was visited, where the latest solutions related to renewable energy production were implemented.
