Panevėžyio kolegija / Uniersity of Applied Sciences is launching the project “Development of Work Skills of Economically Inactive Persons Studying and Graduating” in accordance with Priority 8 of the European Union Funds Investment Operational Program “Increasing Social Inclusion and Combating Poverty” No. 08.6.1-ESFA-T-927 measure “Accelerated implementation of local development strategies”.
The European Union (hereinafter – EU) structural funds and the state budget of the Republic of Lithuania are allocated for the implementation of the project. The project will be implemented in the territory of the implementation of the Panevėžys LAG local development strategy, and its goal is to develop the work skills of economically inactive persons studying and graduating, accelerating personal growth and motivation while increasing the potential for integration into the labor market. At least 20 able-bodied economically inactive people not older than 29 years will take part in the activities planned in the local development project.
During the project, a seminar “How to create your own workplace? Motivational goals and priorities ”, during which it is planned to increase the internal motivation of the project participants to work and earn money, to be able to adapt to the work environment. The Success Workshop on Communication and Communication Subtleties in the Workplace presents the alphabet of career development and nurturing based on networking, emphasizing the importance of partnership, communication, encouraging informal discussion, sharing experiences and necessarily supporting young people’s determination to change. The “I can help” mentoring program is designed to develop practical skills by providing a control and support function during supervisions. The training “Employee Basic Skills and Competences Set” focuses on one of the most complicated areas – the development of accounting skills and includes the cycle of “Basics of Business Accounting” and “Working with Computer Accounting Programs”.
The project will develop the participants’ ability to identify problems that hinder integration and the labour market, while learning to solve these problems on their own. The practical experience of the project participants in a real work environment, the acquired knowledge and skills will allow them to work successfully as employees in public and private institutions, as well as to create their own business (sole proprietorships, joint-stock companies, etc.).
